About the Conference

Save the date for the first Leung Sheung Wing Chun International Conference on August 1-3, 2024. This is a special opportunity for students of Leung Sheung Wing Chun to fully experience something unique. Leung Sheung Wing Chun practitioners from Hong Kong to the coasts of America and beyond will exchange knowledge, skill, and camaraderie. Meet the Instructors

Petrus Wai (Wai Kwai Nam)

Petrus is a first-generation student of Leung Sheung. Petrus is committed to the mission of creating a warm and inclusive community for uniting fellow practitioners in the Leung Sheung Wing Chun family. He is co-founder of the Leung Sheung Tong, and current president of the Leung Sheung Lineage Wing Chun International Fellow Confederation Limited. He teaches Wing Chun in Hong Kong.

Kenneth Chung (Chung Maannin)

Kenneth is a first-generation student of Leung Sheung, co-founder of the Leung Sheung Tong, and external Vice President of the Leung Sheung Lineage Wing Chun International Fellow Confederation Limited. He is co-founder of the Bay Area Wing Chun Student Association and teaches Wing Chun throughout North America and beyond.

Ben Der

Ben Der is the senior-most student of Kenneth Chung, and co-
founder of the Bay Area Wing Chun Student Association. Ben teaches at
San Jose Wing Chun. He and his students have spawned followers and
schools along both coasts of North America.

Danny Lui (Lui Chi Tak)- to be confirmed

Sifu Danny Lui Chi Tak was one of Leung Sheung's youngest disciples and a key member of his "Rooftop Fight Team" during the days when private challenge matches were frequently held on Hong Kong rooftops. Besides Wing Chun, Sifu Danny also holds instructor credentials in Kungfu Shanshou, Aikido, and Brazilian JiuJitsu. After a successful career as a senior executive in the hotel hospitality business, Sifu Danny is now retired and teaches privately in Australia and Hong Kong. Together with Sifu Kenneth Chung Maan Nin and Sifu Petrus Wai Kwai Nam, the trio co-founded the Leung Sheung Tong

About the Venue

The venue in San Jose’s Japantown is accessible from either the San Jose or San Francisco international airports. Local public transportation is available, however most will find automobile or Uber a more convenient option for getting around town. The climate is temperate, however you may need a jacket in case of fog and chilly air. The area offers plenty of lodging options and a wide array of restaurants and cuisines. Visitors may enjoy partaking in some of the many nearby sights and amusements, including shopping, parks, museums, and more. Example attractions include the Winchester Mystery House, Great America amusement part, and Apple Park, to name just a few.
